4/30 aka Ladies, lock up your brothers' ... closets

Shirt: Elle for Kohls, Jeans: Old Navy, Belt: thrifted, Shoes: thrifted

Between my middle school and adult years, I experienced minimal movement in the growth department and thus found minimal motivation to stop shopping in the children's section. Don't worry, don't worry. You won't ever catch me in a crop top or school girl skirt. This isn't a Britney Spears' video. But when items like flip flops and flats look just about the same in a girl's style as they do in a woman's, and the price is so much better, you can bet your bottom dollar you'll find me in the former section at Old Navy, pretending to be shopping for my non-existent niece.

This particular outfit, however, has a few choice item from my new favorite department - the boys'. Sure, I could have splurged on a pair of Sperry boat shoes to get my nautical fix, but why bother when I thrifted this boy's pair, brand new for $4. And the belt? Also thrifted. And I'm guessing from the stamps it once belonged to someone who never outgrew his Thomas the Tank Engine phase. But for 99 cents? I'm all aboard.

  1. Oh I love that floral top so much! And I really want a pink bike.

  2. ah, i love this outfit - especially that floral top and those loafers. and your bike! i have one exactly like it - but it's all pink. i've been itching for spring so i can ride on it!

  3. The outfit is so cute, as is your bike and your poses! Great idea shopping in the boys shoes, I love how they are so cute on you and so unique a look.

  4. Great outfit! I really like the print on your top. And the belt and shoes are such cute finds! These pictures are really fun! :)

  5. You know what else is great to look for in the kids' section? The designer Target lines! Seriously. I kind of loved the girls Liberty prints better than the ladies/

    I love those Topsiders!

  6. Clever....and oh how I love the sunny happiness of these pictures! Now I want to go hijack a bicycle in my Sperry's and roll around town.

  7. Isn't there some law that prohibits you from being so cute on a cruiser? Totally adorable, missy!

  8. Oh my goodness... you are just the cutest thing ever! I've developed a bit of a girl crush. Can I come crash your party to get away from our 2 feet of snow?? :)

Thanks for stopping by! I'm so excited to hear from you.
